The following is the story of the impact that Paige Victoria Perry had during her short 48 days with us. Below is the eulogy delivered by her grandfather, Jeff Perry:

On behalf of Chris and Tiffany and our entire family, we are grateful for your prayers, sympathy, support, and love.

You see, love is what Paige Victoria Perry is all about.

Some may think as she only lived for 48 short days, that there would not be much to say about her accomplishments in this world, but they would be wrong.

From the very minute we all learned Tiffany was pregnant, Chris, Tiffany, and the entire family viewed this baby as a gift from God, and the love that came from this pregnancy was felt far and wide.

When Paige arrived on March 11 th at 4:24 in the afternoon, our entire family came together and rejoiced the birth of this perfect little angel.

This sign (reading from a sign prepared by Lisa Perry) welcoming Paige home that my wife made, is a small example of how we all viewed Paige “Our Little Angel from God.”

Chris and Tiffany are perfect parents, they both just bursted at their seams with love for each other and for Paige. For those who have seen them together, you know what I am talking about.

This love created by PaigE, as I would call her, was so very powerful.

Let me tell you a few things this little angel did in such a short time:

Paige strengthened the love and marriage of Chris and Tiffany.

Paige brought my son back home to me and Lisa and made our relationship so, very, very strong and good.

Paige gave my family Tiffany, and her family Chris.

These two “kids” are loved by so many more people because of the arrival of our Angel.

Paige opened our hearts like we did not know was possible.

Because of her life, Chris and Tiffany, and our entire family now have a new level of love in our hearts.

Paige has opened the souls of this family and taught us all, what faith in God can mean and the comforts of accepting that we are not in control.

I need to tell you a personal story about my relationship with Paige. Those who know me, know that I am inclined to keep busy working just about each hour of the day…well only one person could get me to stop working…..Paige.

I remember one evening I watched her for about six hours, just me. I was trying to get some emails answered, but Paige would have none of it. She did not want anything, she was not hungry, didn’t have a dirty diaper. She just wanted me to stop working and look at her, so of course I did.

This is a life lesson I take from Paige. Life is not all about work. Life is about love, family and faith. This is one of the countless things the Angel Paige has taught us.

I am so thankful for my son and daughter-in-law and their strength, even in the face of their intense grief, when the New England Organ Donor Bank called on the day of Paige’s passing and asked if they could use two heart valves from Paige.

These wonderful parents….put aside their grief for a brief moment to allow two ill babies to receive an opportunity for future life from Paige.

SIDS is something that we do not understand. 2,500 babies pass each year in the United States , that equals about 7 each and every day.

I am so very impressed with the courage and goodness of Tiffany and Chris. They both want others not to feel alone when faced with SIDS.

To honor Paige Victoria and help others cope, Tiffany and Chris have establishment the Paige Victoria Perry Fund. This is yet another way, Paige will live on and keep on giving love.

We take comfort that Paige did not suffer and that her death was no one’s fault. We view Paige as an Angel from God:

A gift for a short time to bring our family closer

A gift to make our faith stronger

A gift to encourage all of us, and all of you to refocus your priorities…

When you see our grief and our tears, please know that we are not angry with God or sad for Paige. We are crying for us as we want her back. So, while our hearts are hurting, and our minds are asking why, we want all of you and God to know, that our love has never been deeper, our faith has never been stronger and we know that our Angel’s mission here on earth has many purposes.

Although the grief is unbearable, we want the World to know that we are so very thankful that Paige came to us and gave us so much, even if our little Angel could only stay for a little while...
